If there was one favorite fan takeaway – above all the others – from the 2018 World Men’s Curling Championship last April in Vegas, it would be the incredible popularity of the Pool-Patch.  So we’re bringing it back!

Following the morning draw on all four days of the 2019 World Financial Group Continental Cup, the sprawling Orleans Hotel and Casino pool area will be the hub of all social activity, including the women’s team autograph session on Saturday. (Following the afternoon and evening draws on all days, the Patch will revert to its indoor location on the second floor of the Hotel.)

“It’s one of those things that sets us apart from all other curling events”, said Jon Killoran, event manager and CEO of the Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition.  “People expect us to keep delivering the extraordinary, and the Pool-Patch is at the top of their list”.

For you weather-watchers out there, the average daily high for the third week of January in Vegas is approximately 55 F. “In past years, many of our fans commented that the temperature swing, compared to home, was still in the vicinity of 70 degrees”, Killoran added.

With single draw tickets now available, fans can put together a package that works within their own schedule.  Or, simply choose one of our Weekender, Old Classic or Old Classic Hit & Stay packages at the connected Orleans Hotel and Casino.  For complete details, CLICK HERE.   To see the draw schedule, CLICK HERE.

The World Financial Group Continental Cup will be held January 17-20 at the renowned Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.  The event is owned by Curling Canada and is being operated through a business arrangement with USA Curling and the Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition.
