FAN GUIDE

Grand Slam of Curling_Meridian Open_Las

Whether you come from near or far, we are looking forward to welcoming you to the 2021 MERIDIAN Open Las Vegas.  Once again the Orleans Arena makes history hosting the first-ever Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling event held outside of Canada.

To help you plan for your visit and make your attendance a truly memorable and enjoyable time, we are providing you with this fan guide, detailing various information covering from the time you arrive through the entire event.

Flying to Las Vegas

Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport is conveniently located near the south end of the Las Vegas Strip.  Most hotels do not run their own shuttle service to and from the airport, but you should check with your hotel to see if they do.  The host hotel, The Orleans Hotel and Casino, does not have dedicated shuttle service.  Pay services are available.  You can learn more about them at:

https://www.mccarran.com/Transportation

A one-way taxi ride from the airport to The Orleans should run between US$25-$30, depending on the cab company.  The taxi stand line is located at ground level just outside the baggage claim area of the domestic Terminal 1 and International/Domestic Terminal 3.

If you use ride share services, such as Lyft and Uber, you can order your ride and catch it on Level 2 of the parking garage next to domestic Terminal 1 and the valet level of the parking garage next to International/Domestic Terminal 3.  Such rides run between US$13-20 between the airport and The Orleans.

If you rented a car, you must take the convenient free shuttle bus from the airport to the nearby rental car center.  Shuttle bus lines are located at ground level outside the baggage claim areas of Terminals 1 and 3.

Complimentary Shuttle Service

Complimentary shuttle bus service is provided between The Orleans Hotel and Casino, its sister property the nearby Gold Coast Hotel and Casino and the Fashion Show Mall on the Las Vegas Strip.  All shuttles will arrive and depart from The Orleans Hotel and Casino’s designated shuttle stop on the Tropicana Avenue side of the property (south entrance by Bailiwick Gastro Pub).  Operating hours are from 9:00 am to 12:30 am daily, with pick-ups scheduled approximately every 45 minutes.

Event Listening Devices

If you purchased a Full-Event, Extra Ender, Long Weekender or Weekender ticket package, then you are entitled to a free listening device to help make your experience during the MERIDIAN Open Las Vegas that much more enjoyable.  That’s right, thanks to our friends at Sportsnet, you will be able to listen to their world-class broadcasts while in the comfort of your own seat at the event!  We’ll update this page with details on how to claim your listening device at the arena.

Official Program

It’s a publication chock full of player profiles, stats, information and so much more.  You’ll want to pick one up at the arena when you get there, so you won’t miss a thing about the 2021 MERIDIAN Open Las Vegas and the entire Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling. They’re just US$5 and a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit local curling clubs.
